Writing is my passion and always will be whether I'm crafting posts for this blog, a human interest article, creating an internal newsletter for a business or posting to social media. My love for expressing myself with written words began with a school project in the eighth grade and has only grown stronger over the years. A nearly decade long career in television as an Anchor and Reporter solidified my love for telling people's stories.
Currently I work for a nonprofit organization as the Marketing and Social Media Manager. Prior to this position I was the arts reporter for Real Change News, a weekly newspaper in Seattle.
Before moving to Seattle I was the Evening Weekend Anchor/Reporter at WPDE NewsChannel 15 in Myrtle Beach, SC. While there I covered a wide range of stories with the added bonus of serving my hometown. Throughout my career I've worked at four television stations and have worn nearly every hat in the newsroom. I love meeting new people and learning about my community.
Writing is my passion. Even as a kid I always had a notebook and pen or pencil with me at all times. Maybe I'll tell your story one day.
