View from Kerry Park. |
One of the best views of downtown Seattle is from
Kerry Park in the Queen Anne neighborhood. When the weather is nice you can count on a steady stream of people from locals to tourists enjoying the scenery. When I first came to visit in 2010 my friend Amber took me there and I was amazed by the picturesque view. You could argue it’s what sealed the deal in wanting to live here one day. Although at the time that seemed like a far-fetched dream.
Even after moving here I’ve been back several times because it remains one of my favorite places. When my friend Heidi and my cousin Leroy came to visit I took them there as well. Even at night the view is just as stunning.
Over the weekend I bought a digital camera and decided to test it out. With great weather on my side I headed up to
Queen Anne. Specifically I wanted to see how well the zoom worked. I’m very pleased with the results. My favorites are below.

After taking pictures I decided to walk farther down the street because it looked like there might be another lookout point. Lucky for me a few blocks away was
Marshall Park. It overlooks the Lake Washington Ship Canal.
