Evergreen State Gem: Green Lake Park

Turtles sunbathing at Green Lake Park.
If I were creating a list of my favorite outdoor spots in Seattle, Green Lake Park would make the top five. The loop around the lake is almost three miles long and is usually bustling with activity year round. It attracts people who want to walk, run, bike, roller blade, etc. You can also play tennis, fish, and put a small craft in the water.
So far this year we’ve had a lot of clear, warm, sunny days which is perfect weather to enjoy the park. Recently I went there with the intention of walking/running as I train for a 10K next month, but my efforts to time myself quickly fizzled. I brought my new digital camera with me so I kept taking pictures. Below are some of my favorites.

"Sunshine is delicious, rain is refreshing, wind braces us up, snow is exhilarating; there is really no such thing as bad weather, only different kinds of good weather."
