Bienvenue 2015!

I’m starting 2015 watching “Jennifer Lopez: Dance Again” on HBO. It’s a documentary of sorts about her recent world tour. JLO is one of my favorite entertainers and I’ve been a fan since the beginning of her career. The fact that she’s still performing and garnering headlines is a testament to her talent and work ethic.

Whenever I watch actors and musicians perform on stage there’s a mix of admiration and envy that flows through me. I want to be up there singing, dancing, and wearing glittery costumes. It’s a fantasy. An elaborate one that one that happens in my head.
But back to the start of a new year. Like many others I can’t believe it’s already 2015. The older I get the faster time seems to pass. So many great things happened in 2014 from the unexpected to life changing. There were also a few lows but I'm not going to dwell on those. I’m looking forward to making new memories, exploring new places in the Pacific Northwest, and checking items off of my to do list.

I don’t make resolutions anymore, rather I’m recommitting to several goals for the New Year. Here are a few in no particular order.

1) Trust my gut. It’s never wrong and always steers me in the right direction. No more second guessing.
2) Move more; from going to the gym with Jeff, to taking a walk/run, or doing my Dancing with the Stars workout DVD.
3) Make every day count. Do one thing that makes me feel productive.
